In order to achieve good performance with a team, it is important that mistakes are discussed, questions are asked and people have genuine interest in each other. In other words: that employees feel safe. Last Saturday, Octobe the 2nd, newspaper Trouw featured a full-page article about how to do your work boldly; a (psychologically) safe working environment is important for this. Jeroen Daelmans explains in this article what this means for Daelmans: “It is very important that you really understand each other and that you ensure that there is an atmosphere where people feel free to say what they think and that others respect that.”
